Real Madrid are increasingly confident Vinicius Junior will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu beyond this summer despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding his contract, according to reports. The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish giants, with Premier League champions Arsenal among the clubs credited with an interest. However, Sky Sports reports that Vinicius is now expected to stay in Madrid, with new head coach Jose Mourinho determined to keep him at the club.Vinicius has just 11 months remaining on his current deal and, as things stand, would be able to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2027.Negotiations over a new contract have yet to produce an agreement, with reports suggesting the 26-year-old wants a salary that would surpass that of Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrids highest-paid player.
