Manchester United have completed the signing of highly rated winger Tynan Thompson from Tottenham in a deal worth an initial �4 million, with a further �4 million payable in performance-related add-ons. The 18-year-old joins Old Trafford after emerging as one of Tottenhams brightest academy prospects and has been promised opportunities to challenge for a place in Uniteds first-team squad.Thompson joined Spurs academy at the age of 12 and enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists across Under-18 and Under-21 level.Seven of those goals came in seven UEFA Youth League appearances, while his performances also earned him two places on Tottenhams Champions League matchday bench.The agreement also includes a 15% sell-on clause in Tottenhams favour, with the additional payments linked to Thompsons achievements at first-team level for United.Confirming the transfer, United said in a statement: Manchester United have agreed the signing of exciting young winger Tynan Thompson, subject to registration. The England youth international has joined from Tottenham Hotspur.The 18-year-old scored 13 goals and contributed six assists last season across Under-18 and Under-21 level, including seven goals in seven UEFA Youth League games.
