WWEs latest roster cuts are already causing confusion inside NXT, and the release of WWE LFG Season 1 winner Tyra Mae Steele has people asking some serious questions. Steele, an Olympic gold medalist who won the first season of WWE LFG, was among the names released on Friday. Her exit quickly caught attention backstage, especially since the show is meant to spotlight new talent and create future stars. Wrestling Observers Bryan Alvarez shared what hes been hearing from inside NXT, noting that some talent are struggling to understand the point of the show if its winner doesnt stick around. Steele had still been active in WWE programming before her release. She worked matches on WWE EVOLVE, including a shot at the WWE EVOLVE Womens Championship against Kendal Grey. That match was taped on February 20 and later aired on March 11. Her final appearance came during the March 20 EVOLVE taping at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, where she competed in a gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for the EVOLVE Womens Championship. Wendy Choo ended up winning that match. Steeles departure stands out because WWE LFG is built around the idea that winning opens the door to bigger opportunities. Now, with the Season 1 winner already gone, its left some people inside NXT wondering what winning the show actually guarantees. Do you think releasing the winner of WWE LFG hurts the credibility of the show, or is this just part of WWEs usual roster decisions? Let us know your thoughts and share your feedback in the comments.
