Tonight, we'll hear from the new champ. Last week after defeating Myron Reed, Tommaso Ciampa called his shot against the winner of Allin vs. MJF. The match has been accepted and Allin will have his first title defense tonight.Following Will Ospreay barely defeating Hechicero, he was starting down Marina Shafir when he was jumped from behind by Mark Davis. Tonight, the former friends will go one-on-one.Last week, Mina Shirakawa told Kris Statlander that she doesn't trust Hikaru Shida and thinks she's behind "Timeless" Toni Storm's attack. She'll face off with Shida tonight.
MJF calls Allin a paper champion and said last week will forever be known as the "Seattle Screwjob". He came out of Dynasty banged up. He got hit in the nuts and Aubrey Edwards had a fast count. He asks if people really think Allin can beat him if he's at 100%. He rattles off accolades. "I am the best professional wrestler in the world." He doesn't care about his main event title match and tells Allin to give him his title back.Kevin Knight comes to the ring and says "different city, same Max. Same old Max whining like a little b****." Knight said he knows fans are tired of listening to MJF. He asks MJF to be honest, "don't The Jet look clean with this new title around his waist." He asks if he remembers The Jet having him pinned a couple weeks ago and he should be "Kevin 2 Belts" right now. MJF mocks Knight's promo and says "The Jet" thinks its acceptable to be friends with Speedball. MJF says he shouldn't be world champion, only he should be. He said he'll give Knight credit. He said that The Jet has a ceiling and will never be an AEW World Champion and should know better than to step in the ring with him and breathe his air.Knight said anyone can look at him and see he's an absolute goldmine. He said some of the best wrestlers have held the TNT Championship and it's no wonder he hasn't held it before. "How about we keep going and "The Jet" hands you an a** whooping?" MJF asks what he gets out of wrestling him because he's already proven he's better than him. He admits Knight made him kind of want that belt, especially because he can tell how proud he is of holding that belt. MJF told him to put the title on the line and he's got himself a match. Knight responded, "hell yeah!" and wants to do it right here, right now.MJF asked for a ref and Bryce Remsburg came to the ring. MJF rolled out of the ring and said, "you're going to dance with the Devil next week, kid."
King came to the ring first. Rush follows and says "HE's getting stronger and stronger."The bell rings and Rush ignored Aubrey Edwards and said, "it's never been his house." King pulls him out of the corner and Rush slowly gets to his feet and circles King as the fans chant "f*** ICE!". He offered his hand and King took it, but won't let go, so Rush bit him. He went for a crossbody, but King caught him. Rush dodged him in the corner, but got splashed in the opposite corner. Rush rolled out the ring and chopped him. King chopped him twice. King got a chair and put him in it. He went for a crossbody, but Rush moved and jumped on the announce table. He went for another crossbody, but was caught. He sent King into the ringpost and the barricade.After the break, Rush punched King and went for a cutter, but King caught him and sent him to the mat and then turned him inside out. King was clutching his shoulder. Rush climbed across the apron and pulled his arm over the rope. He pulled him to the apron and tried to put him on his shoulders. King went for the Gonzo Bomb, but Rush sent him to the floor. Rush galloped around the ring and landed a tope suicida. Rush finally landed a diving crossbody on the outside. Rush went for another one, but King got in the ring and Rush landed a frog splash across his back.Rush went up top again and King charged him. King caught him and drove him into the mat. King landed a cannonball and followed with the Gonzo Bomb for the win.Winner: Brody KingKing said he'll be keeping a close an eye on the main event. If Ciampa comes out on top, congratulations. He told Allin he was proud of him, but not proud enough to beat him.
Shida comes to the ring first, accompanied by Kris Statlander. Shirakawa follows.Shida offered her hand and Shirakawa refused and said "I can not trust her." She put her in a side headlock. Shida picked her up and then blocked her. Mina and Shida exchanged blows against the ropes. Shida grabbed Mina by the hair and sent her to the mat. Mina did the same. They both went for dropkicks . Mina danced and lured Shida in to take her down. Mina with an enzuiguri and a slingblade. She laid in punches. They exchange pin attempts. Shida took her down with a jumping knee.After the break, Shida headbutted Mina. Shida followed with a hammer throw, but Mina sent her to the mat. Mina followed with a splash in the corner. She wrenched Shida's leg over the apron and went for a pin. She drove Shida's knee into the mat and followed with a knee breaker. Shida rolled to the outside and Mina kicked her knee out. Shida sent Mina into the steps and put her on the shoulder and climbed up to the apron. Shida spiked Mina on the apron. Shida followed with a Meteora for 2.5. Shida hit her with a running knee, but Mina kicked out. Mina blocked the Falcon Arrow and followed with a rolling elbow. Shida and Mina exchange blows. Mina landed a dropkick from the top rope. She followed with a slingblade from the top, but Shida kicked out. Mina locked in the Figure Four and Shida rolled to the rope to force a break. Mina put her hands on the ref. Mina stopped Shida from getting the kendo stick. Stat took it before Mina could use it. Shida with a jumping knee and Falcon Arrow for the win.Winner: Hikaru Shida
Ospreay comes to the ring first. Davis follows, accompanied by Callis.As the bell rang, they charged at each other, but Davis ran through him. Davis sent Ospreay to the floor and then trucked him. Davis put him back in the ring and dumped him on the mat. He missed a senton and Ospreay followed with a dropkick. Davis pulled him out of the ring and sent him in the steps, but Ospreay dodged it and sent it into Davis. He took him down with a hurricanrana. Ospreay put him in the ring and hit an flying elbow strike. Ospreay hit him with knee lifts. Davis chopped him to the mat and then sent him over the top rope. Davis went to the outside and drove his face into the ramp and then tried to powerbomb him, but Ospreay fought out. Ospreay did a running cannonball and landed on his feet.After the break, Ospreay had Davis in a headlock and Davis broke it in the corner. Davis followed with a neckbreaker and then a sliding elbow. He flipped Ospreay up for a piledriver, but Ospreay kicked him in the face. Ospreay with a running kick and a strike to the neck from the top rope. Davis blocked a Hidden Blade. Ospreay tried to lift him up, but Davis put him over the ropes. Ospreay punched him in the head repeatedly and Davis knocked him to the mat. Davis dropped him on the mat, but Ospreay kicked out. Davis picked him up and Ospreay blocked it. Ospreay reversed into a Spanish Fly.Ospreay punched Davis. Davis went for a backdrop driver, but Ospreay blocked it and hit him with elbow strikes. Davis with a right hand. Ospreay with a hook kick. DAvis caught the OsCutter and did two high angle backdrop drivers. Davis pulled Ospreay over the ropes and dropped him again. Ospreay kicked out at 2.5. Davis hit an enzuiguri. Ospreay hit aHidden Blade, but Davis kicked out at 2.99. Davis turned him inside out and landed the piledriver, but Ospreay got his leg on the rope. Ospreay climbed to the apron and Davis landed a piledriver on the apron. The ref called for the doc and backed Davis into the ring. Ospreay climbed to the ring, but the doc called the match. Justin Roberts announced that Davis is the winner due to ref stoppage. Tony Schiavone said the doctor said Ospreay had no feeling in his arm.Winner: Mark DavisAfter the match, Davis dragged him into the ring and dangled him upside down. Marina Shafir jumped on the apron and the Death Riders jumped on the apron. Davis sat Ospreay in the ring and left. Mox and Castagnoli dragged Ospreay to the corner for Yuta and Garcia to drag him away. They took Ospreay into the crowd and Castagnoli carried him on his shoulders.
Joe comes to the ring where Chhun is waiting.Joe worked his arm. Chhun did the same. Joe flipped him to the mat and wrenched his arm. Joe headbutted his hand repeatedly. Chhun struck Joe in the face. Joe took him down with an elbow. He hit him with repeated right hands and body shots. Joe pulled him to his feet and put him on the turnbuckle. Chhun poked his eyes. As he went for a crossbody, Joe walked away and then tossed him into the middle turnbuckle and followed with a Muscle Buster for the win.Winner: Samoa JoeAfter the match, HOOK greeted him.
Tony Schiavone welcomes Allin to the ring. Allin placed his title on the mat and got on his knees with a mic. He said, "this took everything." He said he had his first match in Portland. He didn't think of what to say because he knows Ciampa could beat him. He's seen what the championship can do to people. He said the title is for his parents, his fiance, the sherpas on Mt. Everest, and all the fans.MJF comes out and shouts "no!" He says he doesn't deserve the belt and to give him back. Allin refuses. MJF says to give him his rematch tonight. Allin refuses again. He said he's going to defend the title every week until it gives out.Ciampa makes his way to the ring. MJF got in his face and said something to him. Ciampa kissed him on the cheek and continued to the ring. Ciampa stares at the belt.They exchange blows when the bell rings. Ciampa hit him in the corner. Allin with a John Woo Dropkick in the corner. Ciampa got out of the ring to dodge a Coffin Drop. Ciampa walked to the other side and Allin barely hit the Coffin Drop. Allin blocked a Widow's Bell, so Ciampa kicked him into the announce table and tossed him into the barricade.After the break, Ciampa is standing on Allin on the outside. He catapulted Allin into the frame of the ring. He sent him into the barricade again. Ciampa charged Allin, but he moved. Allin went up top and leapt off to send Ciampa through the time keeper's table. Allin laid across the announce table before getting back in the ring.Remsburg started the count and as Ciampa headed to the ring, Allin landed a tope suicida that sent him into the side of the announce desk. Allin threw him into the ring and went up top, but Ciampa made him fall into the ring. Ciampa stomped him repeatedly. Ciampa stalked him into the corner, but Allin hit a Scorpion Death Drop and Ciampa tore the cover off the turnbuckle. Allin went up top and Ciampa rolled out of the way. Allin joined him on the apron and went up top, but Ciampa sent him on top of the turnbuckle. Ciampa chopped Allin twice before climbing with him and putting him on his shoulders to land Psycho Driller on the outside.After the break, both men are down in the ring. They exchange blows. Ciampa chopped him into the corner and laid in more chops. Ciampa sent him towards the exposed turnbuckle, but Allin stopped himself and stomped on his chest. Allin hit him in the face a few times. Ciampa hit him with a running knee strike. Allin landed a Code Red, but Ciampa kicked out. Both men are done again.Allin got to his feet first and landed a Coffin Drop, but Ciampa pulled him into a body scissors and a headlock. Ciampa threw him into the turnbuckle and followed with a knee strike, but Allin kicked out at 2.99. He followed with Project Ciampa and landed another knee strike and covered him for 2.99. Ciampa tried to lock in a Scorpion Death Lock, but Allin pulled him down and cinched in the Scorpion Death Lock. Ciampa climbed towards the ropes, but Allin pulled him away. He wrenched in deeper, adjusted the position, and Ciampa tapped.Winner (and still): Darby AllinAfter the match, Brody King came to the ring and pulled Allin to his feet. He said he was serious when he said he was proud of him. He just talked to TonyKhan and with Allin's permission, he'll defend the title against King next week. Allin shook his hand and Allin left the ring.
