The AEW tag division is pretty stacked with a mix of veteran teams like Cope + Christian and the Young Bucks and newer teams like JetSpeed and The Rascalz. FTR is currently in their third reign as champions. But one team has been missing for several months.During Thursday nights episode of "Collision", there was a backstage segment featuring The Hurt Syndicate. MVP instructed fans not to adjust their televisions because "your eyes do not deceive you. We. Are. Here." He announced that Bobby Lashley has been cleared. He followed with the announcement that they're looking for new talent. "It's time to add somebody new to the ranks because we are back in business. And business is about to pick up."On March 31, MVP posted on X (formerly Twitter) a photo of the Hurt Syndicate with a caption of "the coolest thing is that we are back together in AEW and we'll be back in action SOON! Hurting people!!"Lashley and Shelton Benjamin were tag team champions for 214 days until they lost to BRODIDO at Forbidden Door 2025. Lashley last competed in the Casino Gauntlet Match for the National Championship at Full Gear. A report in December said Lashley was injured, although it was unclear exactly when he was injured and what the nature of the injury was. However in an interview in March, Lashley said he wasn't injured, but didn't explain further. Benjamin last competed in AEW on the January 7 episode of "Dynamite" where he faced Jon Moxley in a Continental Title Eliminator Match. A few days prior, he defeated Dante Martin on "Collision".
