
Jackson Drake has been announced as the first competitor in the upcoming gauntlet eliminator match that will determine the next challenger for the NXT North American Championship. The announcement was made by Robert Stone, who confirmed that Drake will be the first entrant in the multi-competitor match scheduled for the March 24 episode of WWE NXT. Stone also revealed that additional participants will be announced daily leading up to Tuesdays show. The winner of the gauntlet eliminator will earn a championship opportunity against Myles Borne for the NXT North American Title at NXT Stand & Deliver, one of the brands biggest annual events. Drake being named as the first entrant gives him an early spotlight heading into what is expected to be a highly competitive match. With more names still to be revealed, the gauntlet eliminator is shaping up to be a key storyline heading into Stand & Deliver. Beyond the gauntlet eliminator, Tuesdays NXT episode already features several major matches and segments that could have championship implications. A tag team tournament match will see Eli Knight and Elio LeFluer face The Culling, represented by Shawn Spears and Niko Vance. The winning team will move one step closer to earning a future NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity. Another featured moment will see Sol Ruca and ZARIA come face-to-face, continuing their developing rivalry. Singles action is also scheduled, including Ricky Saints, accompanied by Ethan Page, taking on Tony DAngelo. Elsewhere on the card, Thea Hail will face Kelani Jordan, while tag team competition will feature Fatal Influence Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley taking on Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey. With Jackson Drake confirmed and more entrants still to be announced, anticipation continues to build around the gauntlet eliminator and who will ultimately step up to challenge Myles Borne on one of NXTs biggest stages.
