Hangman Page might be disappearing from AEW TV and it looks like its all part of the plan after Revolution. A new report from Fightful Select on March 18, 2026 reveals that AEW is actively planning time off for Page following his brutal Texas Death Match loss to MJF, showing a major shift after one of the most violent main events in recent memory. The decision comes after Page endured a punishing defeat at the pay-per-view, where he was choked out with a chain and left unable to continue a loss that also permanently bars him from challenging for the AEW World Championship again under the match stipulation. According to the report, AEW is preparing to write Page off television. The active plan is for Page to take time off from AEW programming. It is not yet clear whether the absence begins immediately or if he will appear on Dynamite in the coming weeks. Its unclear how long the hiatus will take. This wouldnt be the first time Page has stepped away after a major loss. The former AEW World Champion previously took time off following AEW Revolution in 2024, where he disappeared from programming for several months before returning. While Pages status is now in question, the match itself left both competitors battered. AEW President Tony Khan described MJFs condition backstage as alarming after the fight, noting the toll the match took on the champion: He was covered in blood from head to toe. Khan also revealed that MJF appeared completely disoriented after coming through the curtain: He was not making any sense, and he was yelling and screaming. I dont think he was in good condition, and I dont think hell pass a medical exam to step in the ring right now. But while MJF remains champion, this update makes one thing clear Hangman Page could be stepping away from AEW for a while as the company resets his direction following the loss.
