El Hijo del Vikingo may already have one foot outside of Mexico and the AAA star is now openly teasing a future inside WWE. During an interview with Superluchas, Vikingo addressed his future and strongly hinted that his time focusing solely on Mexico may be coming to an end. The high-flying star suggested he has already accomplished everything he set out to do in his home country and is now preparing for the next chapter. The comments come as Vikingo prepares to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship at Rey de Reyes on March 14. But based on his remarks, the match may only be part of a much bigger plan. Vikingo also made it clear that if he regains the AAA Mega Championship, hes open to defending it anywhere including WWE television. The luchador also pointed to the growing collaboration between WWE and AAA, hinting that fans should expect talent to move between both promotions. Vikingos comments are especially interesting given recent reports about his contract situation. According to PWInsider Elite, while most AAA wrestlers are signed under the Mexico-based holding company Fillip following WWEs acquisition of the promotion, Vikingo is reportedly under a direct WWE deal. That distinction places him in a unique position as WWE continues integrating AAA talent into its broader system. With Rey de Reyes taking place on March 14 and Vikingo openly teasing bigger plans, the possibility of him appearing on WWE programming whether its NXT, Raw, or SmackDown suddenly looks more realistic than ever. If Vikingo does make the jump soon, it could mark one of the first major examples of how WWE plans to use AAA talent across its global platform. Do you think El Hijo del Vikingo will appear on WWE television soon? And would you like to see him bring the AAA Mega Championship to Raw or SmackDown?
