Drew McIntyre isnt happy about the main event set for tonights SmackDown and hes even accusing WWE of violating his contract. The reigning WWE Champion is scheduled to defend the title against Cody Rhodes in a rematch from their brutal Three Stages of Hell match in January, where McIntyre captured the championship. But according to McIntyre, the rematch should never have been booked in the first place. Speaking on Graps The Podcast, McIntyre claimed that a clause tied to their original match clearly stated Rhodes would not receive another title opportunity unless he earned it through other means. McIntyre argued that the agreement required Rhodes to win either the Royal Rumble or the Elimination Chamber if he wanted another shot at the championship something McIntyre says never happened. The Scottish star then pointed directly at SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis for making the match official, accusing him of breaking the terms of the agreement. McIntyre even joked that hes considering legal action over the situation. He also criticized Aldis conduct during their recent confrontation, suggesting the SmackDown authority figure may not be suited for the role. McIntyre continued by pointing out the physical imbalance between himself and Aldis, while also raising concerns about how the situation might look if Aldis behaved the same way toward other members of the roster. I mean, Im 65, 280, I could drop him on his arse any second imagine its one of the little guys, which is basically 80% of the rest of the roster. Imagine its one of the females in that situation. Despite his frustration with the booking, McIntyre made it clear that his goal remains the same heading into tonights match. With tensions already running high between McIntyre, Rhodes, and Aldis, the championship match on SmackDown could have major implications heading into WrestleMania. Do you think Drew McIntyre is right to call out WWE over the rematch with Cody Rhodes, or is the title match the right call for SmackDown?
