Seth Rollins isnt back in the ring just yet but according to the man himself, the comeback clock is ticking. After weeks of speculation fueled by training videos and WrestleMania 42 rumors, Rollins provided a direct update on his injury status while speaking to ESPN on February 27, 2026 just one day before Elimination Chamber in Chicago. When asked whether hed be involved at the Premium Live Event, Rollins shut that down immediately. Thats the clearest update fans have gotten since he underwent shoulder surgery in October following the injury he suffered at Crown Jewel. While online videos earlier this month showed Rollins back in the gym even using his arms during workouts there had been no official confirmation about whether he was cleared. Now, Rollins has confirmed hes progressing just not fully there yet. He also pointed to the recovery timeline as a reason for optimism. That timeline is important. With WrestleMania 42 only weeks away, WWE has reportedly been hopeful that Rollins could be ready in time for the biggest show of the year. His comments dont guarantee that but they certainly dont rule it out either. Rollins has been out of action since October, when Bron Breakker attacked him and forced him out of The Vision before he eventually lost his championship. The storyline has continued to simmer, and theres been growing speculation that Rollins could be tied to the masked attacker angle targeting the group. For now, though, Elimination Chamber wont be his stage. But the sling is gone. The shoulder is moving. And by his own admission, the return is getting close. Do you think Seth Rollins makes his return at WrestleMania 42, or should WWE give him more time to fully recover? Let us know your thoughts.
