Written by Nicholas McGee Last Update: February 27, 2026 11:59:37 am GMT 6 min read Its another huge weekend in the Premier League with massive fixtures at the top and bottom of the table. After dispatching North London rivals Tottenham, league leaders Arsenal have another derby as they host Chelsea on Sunday. They could well be under heavy pressure by the time they kick off, with Manchester City having the chance to cut the gap to two points when they visit Leeds United on Saturday evening.Igor Tudors search for a first win in charge of relegation-threatened Spurs takes him to Fulham, while fellow strugglers West Ham and Nottingham Forest face Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion respectively. Here, we look at the fixtures and offer up some predictions:Table of Contents1 FRIDAY2 SATURDAY3 SUNDAYFRIDAYWolves v Aston Villa (8:00pm)Wolves were unfortunate not to get a point from their trip to Crystal Palace last time out. They would dearly love to get beyond Derby Countys record-low points total by beating their Midlands rivals and dealing a telling blow to their title aspirations. On a hugely unconvincing run, Villa have not scored more than one goal in any game this month. That should encourage Wolves that they can at least get something.Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Aston VillaSATURDAYBournemouth v Sunderland (12:30pm)Sunderlands three-match losing run has encompassed defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool before they were outplayed by Fulham at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats hopes of arresting that run will be significantly boosted if Granit Xhaka can make a long-awaited return from injury. Bournemouth, meanwhile, have ignited their European challenge with a six-game unbeaten run. Their last home defeat came at the hands of Arsenal at the beginning of January, and a Sunderland side dealing with several injury issues appear unlikely to change that.Prediction: Bournemouth 1-0 SunderlandBurnley v Brentford (3:00pm)Brentfords unlikely push for Europe suffered a setback with 2-0 defeat to Brighton last weekend, yet Burnley may need to temper any enthusiasm stemming from that result and their 1-1 draw at Chelsea. The Bees have been far better on their travels than at home of late, losing just one of their last five games away from home. Burnley have not won at home since October.Prediction: Burnley 1-2 BrentfordLiverpool v West Ham (3:00pm)Arne Slot was scathing in his assessment of Liverpools first-half performance in their win at Nottingham Forest. Their dramatic late winner was a testament to their perseverance, and the Reds may need more of that against a West Ham team that will likely set out to frustrate them. Since their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea, the only goal the Hammers have conceded came courtesy of a stunning injury-time equaliser from Benjamin Sesko. Liverpool are obviously heavy favourites, but this game could set up for an irritating afternoon for Slots men.Prediction: Liverpool 1-1 West HamNewcastle United v EvertonNewcastle have improved significantly since the 3-2 defeat to Brentford in their previous home Premier League game, which saw scrutiny on Eddie Howe reach the highest point of his tenure. The Magpies have won four of their last five in all competitions, yet a meeting with an Everton side that is strong on the road promises to be a tricky test. The Toffees won 1-0 at St James Park on the final day of last season and can have reason for confidence against a Newcastle team whose struggles against low blocks are well-documented. However, only Aston Villa have stopped Newcastle scoring at home in the league this season. Could this be the game where Anthony Gordon scores against his former club?Prediction: Newcastle 3-1 EvertonLeeds United v Manchester CityLeeds have lost just twice so far this calendar year, succumbing to a 102nd-minute Harvey Barnes winner in their 4-3 defeat to Newcastle and being thrashed 4-0 by Arsenal. As such, a trip to Elland Road represents a significant hurdle in Citys pursuit of the Gunners. Citys celebrations after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Newcastle last week were markedly passionate. Pep Guardiolas side know they can ill-afford any slip-ups as they chase Arsenal and, with Leeds having only kept one clean sheet at home since the end of August, City should have enough to emerge from a difficult fixture victorious.Prediction Leeds 1-2 Manchester CitySUNDAYBrighton and Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest (2:00pm)Brightons win at Brentford eased the pressure on Fabian Hurzeler, while counterpart Vitor Pereira was left extremely frustrated by Liverpools 98th-minute winner at the City Ground. Winless in their last three at home, the Seagulls recent struggles at the Amex provide Forest with reason for hope. Much will depend on how quickly Forest can recover from their Europa League exertions against Fenerbahce, but this fixture represents a clear opportunity for them to get a result that boosts their survival cause.Prediction: Brighton 0-1 Nottingham ForestFulham v Tottenham (2:00pm)Igor Tudor was handed an unenviable assignment for his first game as Tottenhams interim manager, and it was a predictably chastening afternoon as Spurs were thrashed 4-1 by North London rivals Arsenal. There were some positive moments for Tottenham, but Tudors task gets no easier as a side beset by injuries makes the short trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.Marco Silvas side ended a run of three straight league defeats with their victory at the Stadium of Light, boosting their European hopes in the process. They already have a league win over Tottenham to their name this season and have more than enough quality to complete the double and deepen Spurs relegation worries.Prediction: Fulham 2-1 TottenhamManchester United v Crystal Palace (2:00pm)Uniteds Monday night win at Everton was hardly convincing, but its clear they are far more resolute under Michael Carrick and possess a kind of spirit Palace could only wish for right now.The Eagles laboured into the Conference League last 16 in midweek, and it is difficult to see Oliver Glasners side producing the kind of performance that will be required to claim anything at Old Trafford.Prediction: Manchester United 3-0 Crystal PalaceArsenal v Chelsea (4:30pm)Nerves were turned to elation in the red half of North London following their impressive performance in the derby. And Arsenal have reason to be confident of turning over another local rival, given the vulnerabilities Chelsea continue to show. The Blues 1-1 draw with Burnley was a hugely dispiriting result for Liam Roseniors men, as they once again failed to see out a game against inferior opposition and fell victim to ill-discipline.Yet Chelsea will surely play with more ambition than in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final at Emirates Stadium and, for all their faults, their volatility is such that they have the potential to deal Arsenal a serious setback. The Gunners have conceded in each of their last three league games, and severe questions will be asked about their stomach for the title race if they cannot find a way to prevent Chelsea from playing spoiler.Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 Chelsea Topics: AFC Bournemouth Arsenal F.C.
