CM Punk has made it clear before that hes not thinking about retirement but now hes going a step further and calling out the constant questions. After previously stating on No-Contest Wrestling that he doesnt see retirement happening anytime soon, Punk addressed the topic again in a February 24, 2026 interview with Metro UK. This time, he admitted hes growing tired of being repeatedly asked when he plans to hang it up. Punk pointed to one legend in particular as an example. He then contrasted that with his own experience, making it clear he wants fans to stop asking him when hell retire from wrestling. Punk explained that he looks at Rey Mysterio as proof that longevity in wrestling doesnt need an expiration date attached to it. The World Heavyweight Champion also made it clear that hes enjoying this chapter of his career and isnt setting any artificial deadlines. And in typical Punk fashion, he ended with a statement that leaves the door wide open: I try not to put a time limit. I try to never say never anymore, until Im known as Mr Wrestling. At a time when several top stars are either on farewell tours or officially retired, the Second City Saint is sending a clear message: stop asking.
