Matt Riddle is making noise again this time with claims that things are getting physical behind closed doors at WWEs developmental system. Following WWEs latest round of tryouts in Orlando, which blended independent wrestlers with non-wrestling athletes, Riddle says hes been hearing about serious tension brewing inside the WWE Performance Center. And according to him, that tension has allegedly turned into fights. Speaking on the Rewind Recap Relive podcast on February 21, 2026, Riddle didnt hold back. Riddle made it clear these werent just minor disagreements. He suggested that friction between recruits particularly those coming from non-wrestling athletic backgrounds has escalated beyond simple locker room debates. The comments come just days after WWE hosted a new tryout class, continuing its long-standing approach of mixing former college and pro athletes with seasoned independent wrestlers. While WWE has not addressed the claims publicly, Riddles remarks paint a picture of a developmental system dealing with more internal conflict than fans might expect. As of now, there has been no official confirmation of altercations at the Performance Center.
