Tony Khan provided an important update ahead of tonights February 18 episode of AEW Dynamite and it involves fallout from Grand Slam Australia. During a live video on Twitter while running down the card for tonights show, Khan confirmed that several injuries and illnesses have surfaced following this past weekends Grand Slam event. However, he made it clear that fans wont see any advertised matches scrapped because of it. Khan reassured viewers that the top matches promoted for Dynamite will still take place as planned. At the same time, he admitted that adjustments had to be made behind the scenes. While he did not specify which talents were affected, Khan indicated that some originally planned bouts were altered due to the physical toll coming out of Grand Slam. Despite that, he none of the featured matches previously announced for tonights broadcast would be impacted. That means the confirmed main event between Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland will still close the show, along with the rest of the advertised lineup. With Grand Slam often delivering physically intense contests, its not surprising that talent may be dealing with bumps and bruises coming out of the event.
