As part of a costume Battle Royal featuring participants dressed as legendary wrestlers and pop culture icons, John Cenas theme music suddenly hit the arena. The crowd waited but no one came through the curtain. Then, in true invisible John Cena fashion, the wrestlers in the ring began selling moves from thin airtaking bumps, dodging punches, and reacting as if Cena himself was clearing house in the match. The crowd erupted as the segment perfectly parodied Cenas famous You cant see me gimmick. While clearly meant as comedy. Cenas final match took place back in December at Saturday Nights Main Event, where he was submitted by GUNTHER. That bout cemented GUNTHERs legacy, having also retired Goldberg and AJ Styles in his dominant run. EVEs invisible Cena spot may have been a jokebut it paid tribute to a legend who left a very real impact on the wrestling business. Was this the best John Cena parody yet?
