WWE 2K26 may have wowed fans with its first official gameplay trailer during the Royal Rumble, but not everyone is impressedespecially not WWE Womens Champion Jade Cargill.
It all started when a fan took to Twitter, tagging 2K Games and questioning why Cargills model still wore her 2024 attire from Backlash: France, even though shes now a reigning champion.
Jade Cargill also responded directly, venting her frustration over the outdated designand pointing out the effort and expense that goes into creating her signature gears.
The criticism comes just days after WWE 2K26s trailer went live, featuring in-game footage of major superstars like CM Punk, Stephanie Vaquer, and El Grande Americano. While the overall reception to the gameplay and match modeslike Inferno and Dumpster Matcheshas been strong, Cargills comment has led to discussions about how female talent is presented in the series.
With 2K26 promising the biggest roster yet and a March 13 release date, the pressures on for 2K Games to make some last-minute fixes before launch.
Do you think Jade Cargill was right to speak out? Should WWE 2K26 update superstar gear more often? Sound off in the comments and tell us how you feel about the games accuracy.
