WWE has snagged a few big names that used to be on Tony Khans roster. Now, it appears that Powerhouse Hobbs has joined that list. He has a new reported WWE name, and now its only a matter of time before we see him in the company.
WWEs road to the 2026 Royal Rumble might be adding a major new wildcard. On his Grillin JR podcast, Jim Ross weighed in on the buzz around Powerhouse Hobbs potentially debuting with WWE at the Royal Rumble PLE, and he didnt sound like someone guessing. It seems that Jim Ross expects Powerhouse Hobbs arrival in WWE.
Jim Ross made it clear that, if Powerhouse Hobbs really has signed with WWE this close to such a huge event, it would be strange not to use him immediately.
That kind of debut would make perfect sense. The Royal Rumble has become WWEs best stage for surprises, whether its a returning legend, a debuting star, or someone jumping promotions. A strong Rumble showing can instantly establish a new threat without the company even needing to over-explain who they are.
Nothing has been confirmed publicly yet, but the timing is what makes it feel real. If WWE really did sign Powerhouse Hobbs right before its biggest surprise-heavy match of the year, the Royal Rumble would be the obvious place to roll him out and make a statement. The entire WrestleMania season, and the reset before Backlash after that, also provide excellent opportunities to bring on new talent.
Only time will tell if we see Powerhouse Hobbs in Saudi Arabia, but it certainly seems like excellent timing for him to join WWEs on-screen storylines eventually.
