Speaking with Chris Van Vliet in a new interview on January 27, Wilson explained that while hes happy Cardona is back in WWE, his own experience in the ring that night left him legitimately hurt. According to Wilson, the match resulted in real facial damageincluding bruises, a chipped tooth, and an unexpected trip to the dentist.

Wilson made it clear he wasnt throwing blamejust laying out the facts. He pointed out the physical nature of the match and revealed that Cardonas offense left marks that lasted for days.

But the aftermath was when things took a strangeand painfulturn. Wilson recounted the moment he realized just how bad it was after rolling out of the ring.

The injury hasnt stopped Wilson from staying active, either. Just two weeks later, on the January 16 episode of SmackDown, he ambushed Cardona after his loss to Trick Williamsthrowing him into the steel steps in what many saw as the next chapter of their feud.

While Wilson didnt accuse Cardona of carelessness, his comments confirm the damage was real. And now, with the rivalry getting more personal by the week, fans may be witnessing one of SmackDowns most physical grudges develop in real time.
