Drew McIntyre is the new Undisputed WWE Champion, but he needs a new #1 contender. With the Royal Rumble coming up in Saudi Arabia on January 31, things are certainly heating up.
WWE Saturday Nights Main Event on January 24, 2026, will be held at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The last match of the night saw a new #1 contender crowned.
During Saturday Nights Main Event, The Viper Randy Orton faced Trick Williams, Damian Priest, and Sami Zayn in an Undisputed WWE Championship No. 1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way Match.
Fans were very much behind Sami Zayn for this entire match. He was the hometown son, and they let him know it. At one point, Zayn nailed Damian Priest with a Helluva Kick, but Trick Williams broke up the pinfall.
Trick Williams did his best to avoid damage throughout the whole match, as he stayed on the outside for as long as he could. Through it all, Sami Zayn stayed in the fight, trying hard to secure the win for his country. Randy Orton hit an RKO on Sami, but Trick Williams jumped in the ring to throw Randy out and try to steal the pinfall. However, Damian Priest broke up the pin attempt.
Nearly 13,000 fans cheered as this match continued. Orton got to pop the fans as he hit a double draping DDT on Trick Williams and Damian Priest. However, that wasnt the end of the match. Trick Williams kept trying to steal a victory, but his efforts were stopped around every corner.
In the end, Sami Zayn nailed a Helluva Kick on Damian Priest out of nowhere, and he won the match. This was a huge win and the arena exploded after he clinched the win.
We will have to see how things turn out at the Royal Rumble. Drew McIntyre will defend his title, and this was certainly an exciting main event to figure out that situation.
