The 74-year-old Hall of Famer was forced to skip this weeks AEW Dynamite after taking a nasty fall at home. While fans already knew he was hurt, JR finally opened up on the January 23 episode of Grilling JRand its even more serious than people thought. Ross explained he tripped while going to his chair and hit the hardwood floor hard. The worst part? He was stuck there for five hours with no one around to help.

The voice of AEW admitted the situation couldve been much worse, but hes grateful he eventually managed to get back on his feet. Despite everything, JR is keeping his trademark grit and humor intact.

Ross had just made a triumphant return to AEW commentary earlier this month in Oklahoma, and fans were thrilled to hear his iconic voice again. While theres no timeline yet for when hell be back at the desk, JRs recovery seems to be moving in the right direction.
