
Chris Bey is keeping it realand rawas he continues to recover from a serious injury thats kept him out of the ring for over a year.
The 29-year-old TNA star took to social media on January 17 to share an emotional statement about where hes at mentally and physically more than 15 months after getting injured during a TNA TV taping in Detroit. While hes remained largely positive throughout the process, Bey admitted that he recently hit a wall during a workout session.
Bey opened up about how watching his peers succeed triggered a wave of difficult emotionsespecially as he continues to struggle with basic recovery milestones. The moment that broke him came mid-workout.
Despite the emotional moment, Bey pushed through and finished his workoutoffering a reminder to fans and fellow wrestlers alike that vulnerability isnt weakness.
Bey later clarified that theres no resentment toward those finding success around him, only support.
Back in December, Bey appeared on Wrestling Observer Live and said he feels 100 times better than he did a year agobut also noted that regaining feeling has brought with it new pain. He added that he still hopes to return to the ring when the time is right, saying: Im in no rush. I know when my bodys ready for it, Ill be able to do it.
Chris Beys story is a reminder that even the strongest fighters have tough daysbut getting back up is what really counts.
