TNA Wrestling fans dont forget. They didnt like Dixie Carter during her time in the company, and time isnt going to change how they react to her.
The January 15 episode of TNA Wrestling was a big night for the company for many reasons. We saw a new authority figure debut, and new Knockouts Tag Team Champions crowned.
Carlos Silva took the microphone on the entrance ramp before Frankie Kazarian put the TNA World Title on the line against Mike Santana. Then he introduced Dixie Carter to come out and say a few words.
Dixie Carter made her way out and fans didnt want that to happen. In the building, fans booed her relentlessly. She tried to talk about how TNA Wrestling opened their doors 24 years ago, and how historic of a night this is for the company, but fans didnt want to hear that from her.
As fans booed Dixie Carter, she was finally cut off and Bully Ray made his way out. He hugged Dixie Carter, and then joined the commentary team for the TNA World Title main event match.
Dixie Carter became involved with TNA through Panda Energy, then stepped into the lead executive role and ran the company for years. She did a lot in the company during their early days, including handling business decisions, TV relationships, and overall direction while also appearing on-screen. She stayed in charge until Anthem Sports & Entertainment took control in 2017. At that point, she stepped down from leadership and stayed on in a limited role. She was always a heel, and TNA Wrestling fans wont stop booing her anytime soon.
Whats your take on Dixie Carter showing up on TNA Wrestling once again? Did you expect all that booing? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
