WWE nearly pulled the trigger on a major programming shift for Saturday Nights Main Event in Montreal on January 24th, but ultimately decided to stick with its usual time slot.

According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, there were internal discussions about bumping the show up an hourand the reason all boils down to the UFCs debut on Paramount Plus.

The UFCs first major card on the platform is set to begin at 9 PM ET, and Paramount is pushing for earlier start times as part of its live event strategy. With both UFC and WWE now operating under the TKO umbrella, the idea of corporate synergy came into playprompting the conversation about potential scheduling adjustments for WWEs own programming.

While nothing was changed this time around, sources told Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that both companies are open to shuffling start times in the future for strategic reasons.

In the past UFC and WWE have moved some events around for what a TKO rep told Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was corporate synergy, the report noted.

For now, WWEs Montreal event will air as plannedbut fans should expect more of these scheduling conversations as the TKO alliance continues to blend its brands under one corporate strategy.

Do you think WWE should adjust start times to accommodate UFCs schedule? Or should each brand keep their own lane? Drop your take in the comments below!
