Oba Femi may have walked out of WWE NXTs New Years Evil as champion, but its what he left behind that sparked massive speculation. After defeating Leon Slater in a dominant main event, Femi seemingly vacated the NXT Championship by leaving it in the ringwithout a word. Now, Slater is speaking out.
Appearing on the debut episode of Unseen with Joey Karni, the current TNA X-Division Champion reflected on his role in what many believe was Oba Femis final match in NXT.
WWE has been airing vignettes teasing Oba Femis arrival on either RAW or SmackDown, and the visual of him leaving the title behind in the ringwith no explanationonly added fuel to that fire. Slaters remarks reinforce the idea that the powerhouses time in NXT has ended, and a main roster debut is imminent.
