WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW talent Jake The Snake Roberts is back home and recovering after undergoing successful hip revision surgery earlier this week.

The 70-year-old legend had a previous hip replacement that began causing issues, prompting Tuesdays procedure to correct the problem. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roberts wife Cheryl confirmed that the surgery went well and Jake is now on the mend.

This is just the latest chapter in Roberts ongoing health battle. Back in January of last year, he revealed he had been hospitalized with pneumonia, which was especially serious given his long-standing battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In May, he underwent a heart ablation procedure to treat an irregular heartbeat a technique that scars heart tissue to stop erratic electrical impulses and stabilize heart rhythm.

Despite all of this, Roberts remained active in AEW until late 2024. He last appeared on AEW television in November, after a brief stint managing LFI (which he acquired from Don Callis in exchange for Lance Archer). His role on-screen had gradually scaled back due to his health challenges.
