WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has Hollywood ambitionsand they might just include teaming up with his biggest wrestling rivals on the big screen.
John Cena officially retired from in-ring competition on December 13, losing his final match to Gunther at Saturday Nights Main Event in Washington, D.C. With Cena fully focused on his acting career, fans have started to wonder whether his former opponent Punk might eventually share the screen with him.
Punk recently appeared on My Moms Basement with Robbie Fox to promote his new vampire flick Night Patrol. When asked about possibly doing a movie with John Cena now that hes retired, Punk didnt hesitate to drop some big namesand reveal that the wheels may already be in motion.
Its a dream lineup: Punk, Cena, and Bautistathree wrestling legends whove each carved out a post-WWE path in Hollywood. Bautista has been praised for his dramatic work in Blade Runner 2049 and Knock at the Cabin, while Cena found mainstream success in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Punk is still early in his acting journey, but with Night Patrol dropping soon, the timing couldnt be better.
Whether its action, horror, or even a dark superhero movie, the idea of seeing all three stars in one film doesnt sound far-fetched anymore. Its something Punk is clearly down forand fans will no doubt be watching closely to see if it becomes a reality.\
