AEW President Tony Khan isnt shutting the door on a womens Continental Classicbut hes not committing to it either.

During the AEW Worlds End media call, Khan was asked whether a womens version of the tournament could be held at a different time of year to avoid competing with holiday distractions.

Khan found the suggestion intriguing, but emphasized that hes still a fan of how the mens Continental Classic fits into AEWs winter schedule.

He noted that wrestling has always had a place around the holidays for him personallyand he wants AEW to help keep that tradition alive.

While there are no current plans to launch a womens Continental Classic, Khans response left the door open to future innovationsespecially if fan demand continues to rise.

Tony Khans comments show theres openness to evolving the Continental Classic brandbut any expansion to the womens division will have to wait. AEW may still have surprises in store, but for now, the mens tournament remains the priority
