JeVon Evans may be winless in 12 straight championship matches across WWE, TNA, and AAAbut hes not letting that define him.
After his loss at AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20, 2025, Evans took to Twitter and responded to the talk around his lack of wins in title matches. Instead of being frustrated, Evans leaned into the bigger picturefocusing on experience, growth and who hes sharing the ring with.
That was Evans message after coming up short in a Triple Threat Match for the AAA World Cruiserweight Title against Laredo Kid and Jack Cartwheel. Despite some incredible offenseincluding a phoenix splash into a cutterEvans once again ended the night without gold around his waist.
With the latest loss in AAA, Evans is now 0-12 in recognized championship matches across three major companies. His only non-loss came via no contest against Leon Slater in a TNA X-Division Title match at Bound For Glorywhich many viewed as his potential breakout moment.
In WWE alone, the young star has had multiple shots at the NXT Championship, the North American Title, the U.S. Title, Tag Team gold, and even the NXT Heritage Cup. Each time, hes delivered amazing in-ring momentsbut not the win.
Despite the streak, theres no denying WWE sees something in JeVon Evans. Hes been featured on major PLEs, international shows, and continues to be put in high-pressure situations. But in the eyes of many fans, potential has an expiration date. You can only be the underdog for so long before the shine starts to fade.
Even then, Evans own words make it clear hes not chasing validation through titles. So, only time will tell whether WWE decides to finally pull the trigger on the young NXT Superstar in 2026.
