
Greg Norman has been an important figure in golf circles since joining LIV Golf and leaving the PGA Tour. The former CEO of LIV Golf is open about his desires, saying that at no point did he think of ruining the PGA Tour.
For years, Norman exchanged various valuable messages with some of the most important figures of the strongest Tour, and this further caused the anger of the public, who did not understand why Greg had such attitudes and why he decided to go to the other side.
Speaking to Straight Talk, Greg Norman points out that what annoys him the most is the perception that he tried to destroy the PGA Tour. An experienced figure reveals that the media played a key role in the conflict between the PGA and LIV Golf, and the public, influenced by various headlines, became even more heated.

"The thing that bothers me the most about it is the perception that I was trying to destroy the PGA Tour. That is the total opposite," Norman said.
"We were trying to work within the ecosystem. Competition is a wonderful thing. LIV was entertainment, concerts, different hospitality, music, all that stuff, plus teams.
So the ecosystem was crying out for that, to have a counterbalance, and we proved it right.
But the general public or perception from the media who probably had to take the tack that they had to take for certain reasons, created this angst out there in the world of golf."
Norman shares his views
Greg Norman shares the opinion that the PGA has benefited tremendously from LIV Golf and will likely build its story in a much better way in the future.

He reveals that the arrival of private capital through LIV has created a huge opportunity for golf, marketing, fan entertainment and other aspects. In addition, he notes that innovation was also an important thing, because it helped not only LIV Golf but golf in general.
Either way, Greg will have to put in a lot of effort to regain the public's trust.
