Marc Leishman, a 42-year-old Australian, showed his superiority by winning the Victorian PGA Championship. Windy conditions were no obstacle for the experienced golfer who, despite everything, showed courage and desire to win. This victory was the 15th of his career and the second of this season, after winning at LIV Golf in April.
Leishman played a fourth round with +4 (76), after previous rounds of 71, 67 and 68. The biggest threat was his compatriot Younger, but Leishman, thanks to experience, came to victory and realized his dream.
In an interview with the media, he highlighted the difficult conditions, saying that he expected bogeys, but that when a strong desire is shown, it is possible to overcome all obstacles.
It was a brutally tough day, he said, as quoted by Golf By Tour Miss.

I sort of knew it was going to be like that, (but) you hope you can shoot better than that.
On days like this, obviously you know everyones going to be having bogeys and unfortunately I had a few early, but fought back and managed to birdie the last there, which was nice.
Leishman shares his emotions
In the end, the Australian shared that he was happy about the great victory and that he had been playing well all year, which is why this victory is the crowning glory of his efforts.
Im really happy to get a victory, Leishman said.
Ive been playing well for the last, well, all year really. Ive been hitting the ball great these last three weeks in Australia with not a whole lot to show for it results-wise, but its nice to walk away with a win here.

This kind of victory will be an additional motivation for Marc, who wants to be just as superior next season and achieve even greater progress. It's been three years since he joined LIV Golf, and the question is how long he will remain a part of this controversial league.
