Saturday Nights Main Event finally went down in Washington, DC. The main event of the night saw the GOAT wrestle in his final match. John Cenas mantra has been Never Give Up for decades, but thats what happened on Saturday after a tremendous fight.

After a night full of tributes, even some for AEW commentary team members who had a hand in calling the action for Cenas greatest moments, the time finally came for the GOAT to come out for the last time.

Although this was a historic match with a lot of emotional weight as John Cena said goodbye, GUNTHER did not intend on making it an easy day at the office. The Miz also had his chance to interject a promo during Saturday Nights Main Event, as he saw his moment in the sun during the Last Time Is Now Tour. Then R-Truth and Joe Hendry came out to shut him down.

This match was on point for GUNTHER, as hes racking up an impressive list of retiring legends. He also beat Goldberg in his final match at Saturday Nights Main Event earlier this year. When the match finally started, and John Cena had time to hug Trish Stratus, RVD, Kurt Angle, Elijah, Kevin Owens, Sika, Booker T, Sami Zayn, and others at ringside, the match finally got started. Lilian Garcia also gave this contest a big fight feel, thanks to her ring introductions.

John Cenas last match was a long time coming. He is a shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer, but his career in Hollywood has taken a majority of his attention over the next years. Only time will tell what Cena does next in his acting career, but he can certainly start taking roles that require him to put on some weight, or lose a ton of muscle mass, which might even grow his possibilities.

Although hes wrestling in his final match, John Cena wont be gone from WWE totally. He will remain an ambassador for the company, so his merchandise will also keep coming to the official WWE Shop. As you know, the t-shirt for his final match included some nifty Easter eggs. This whole night could be summed up with simply saying, Thank you, Cena.
