WWE NXT Deadline was the final event of 2025 for the brand. The show took place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. The Mens Iron Survivor Challenge match was the main event, and it did not disappoint.

The Iron Survivor Challenge match brought a lot of eyes to the show. The winner would get an NXT Title shot down the line, so everyone wanted to walk away with the wins.

The WWE NXT Iron Survivor Challenge is a 25-minute match with five competitors aiming to score the most falls. Two begin the match, new entrants join every five minutes, each fall earns a point, and anyone who is pinned or submitted spends 90 seconds in a penalty box. The wrestler with the most points at the end earns a future championship match at New Years Evil.

The Mens Iron Survivor Challenge featured JeVon Evans, Joe Hendry, Myles Borne, Leon Slater, and Dion Lennox. Fans were ready to see this unique match go down, for obvious reasons. John Cena was also the man who picked the competitors in the match.

Leon Slater and JeVon Evans started off this match, which guaranteed that this contest would get started with fire. Evans was able to get a pinfall just as the first five minutes wrapped up. So, Myles Borne came out to face Jevon Evans on his own. Interestingly enough, Borne got to pick his own spot.

Dion Lennox came out next without anyone scoring a pinfall, and Lennox had a big target on his back, but he still got a pinfall on JeVon Evans. Joe Hendry entered the match in the final spot, and he had a ton of momentum behind him. Then Hendry scored a point as he pinned Myles Borne and fans belted out We Believe chants.

Leon Slater got a pinfall on Joe Hendry, which left Myles Borne as the only one who didnt have a point. Then Myles Borne nailed a Borne Again on Dion Lennox to even everything up at 1. When Dion Lennox got in the penalty box with Joe Hendry, he beat the crap out of him because Lennox didnt have any better way to handle the disappointment. Fans chanted asshole at him for good measure.

This match continued, and Dion Lennox shoved JeVon Evans into the official and he locked them both in the penalty box. Then Evans climbed out of the box and nailed a dive on Lennox after Joe Hendry nailed a Standing Ovation in the ring.

With under 40 seconds in the match, everyone was in it, and wanting the win. With only seconds left, JeVon Evans scored a roll-up pin on Myles Borne to win the match. Now, JeVon Evans will take on Oba Femi at New Years Evil.
