During the December 6 edition of AEW Collision, it was announced that Allin has been pulled from the 2025 tournament due to injury. A promo aired confirming the news, with Allin addressing his removal and revealing that Jack Perry would be taking his place in the Gold League.
Allin was injured during his November 26 match on Dynamite against Kevin Knight. The injuries were legitimate and not part of a storyline. He was hospitalized afterward and had been under evaluation since. As confirmed by Wrestling Observer Radio, Allin has since been discharged and is recovering at home, but wasnt cleared to continue competing.
With Allin officially removed, Jack Perry now enters the Gold League, joining Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, PAC, Speedball Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight. As of December 3, Fletcher led the block with 6 points, Okada had 3, and Allin sat at 0 after his loss to Knight.
How AEW handles Perrys tournament score remains to be seenwhether he inherits Allins record or starts from scratch. Either way, the dynamic of the Gold League has changed in a big way.
