Just before AEW Collision goes live from Columbus, Ohio, Tony Khan dropped a surprise announcementand its a big one.
AEW National Champion Ricochet will now defend his title tonight against Bang Bang Gangs Ace Austin. The last-minute booking came straight from Khan on social media after both men picked up wins at ROH Final Battle last night.
Ace Austin earned the opportunity by defeating Lee Johnson during the Final Battle Zero Hour pre-show, while Ricochet retained his title in his own clash later that night. This sudden title defense now puts the National Champion in back-to-back high-stakes matches, and the timing couldnt be more intense.
The addition gives fans even more reason to tune in, as AEW Collision was already stacked. Updated lineup for December 6, 2025:

Collision kicks off at 8 PM Eastern on TNT and will also stream live on MAX.
AEW is clearly using every second of air time to build momentum heading into Worlds Endand this last-minute title match adds even more fire to the card. With Ricochet stepping into the ring again less than 24 hours after a major defense, and Ace Austin looking to bring more gold to the Bang Bang Gang, anything can happen.
