After defeating Rusev on the November 28th edition of SmackDown, Jey Uso moved one step closer to a potential dream match with John Cena at Saturday Nights Main Event. But instead of celebration, what followed was another wave of backlash this time, in full view on WWEs own platform.
When WWE uploaded the match clip to YouTube, the numbers told the story loud and clear. At press time, the video has pulled in over 321,837 views but only 8,191 likes. The real eyeopener? A staggering 40,126 dislikes meaning around 83% of fans hit the thumbs down.
This update makes it obvious: the audience isnt warming up to Jeys push. If anything, the resistance is growing. Earlier this month, his victory over The Miz caused similar outrage, and fans still havent forgotten how furious they were when he walked out of WrestleMania 41 with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Now, with every step Jey Uso takes toward the finals, the dislike ratio keeps climbing and WWEs decision-makers may soon have to decide whether this heat is the kind they want; or the kind they need to fix.
