Chris Jerichos future in professional wrestling may be uncertain, but Tony Khan knows exactly where he wants it to endand he didnt mince words when asked about the veteran possibly walking away from AEW.
In a new interview with Adams Apple, the AEW President was directly asked about Jerichos legacy and whether hed be okay with the former world champion finishing his career somewhere else. Khan responded with a clear message about his hopes for Jerichos retirement:
The statement came amid renewed speculation about Jerichos status after he made a cryptic comment on his Talk Is Jericho podcast, saying hes just going to see what happens. That, paired with him abandoning a trademark and removing AEW branding from his next Rock N Wrestling Rager cruise, sparked talk of a potential WWE return.
Still, Khan sounded confident that Jericho isnt done in AEW yetand made it clear that, whenever that time comes, he wants the last chapter to be written under his watch.
