
Carlos Alcaraz is through to his first final at the ATP Finals in Turin. World no. 1 will chase a notable title against the defending champion Jannik Sinner, in what promises to be a thrilling closure to their dominant season.
The Spaniard faced Felix Auger-Aliassime in the semi-final and provided a rock-solid 6-2, 6-4 triumph in an hour and 22 minutes. It was one of Carlos' finest indoor matches, dominating against an in-form rival and arranging a dream final.
Both players served above 70%. Alcaraz made a massive difference behind the first serve, defending the only break point he faced and mounting the pressure on the other side.
Auger-Aliassime could not follow those numbers. The Canadian dropped 42% of the first serve and got broken three times from eight chances offered to his opponent, ending his run in the semi-final.

The Spaniard took charge and provided brave and valiant tennis. He tamed his strokes nicely and outplayed his rival in the shortest exchanges up to four strokes. Carlos made a push in three return games of the opening set.
He clinched breaks in games four and eight, closing the opener 6-2 and gaining a boost. They served well in the opening nine games of the second set. World no. 1 made a push on the return at 5-4 and delivered a crucial break to move over the top and reach the final.
