Natalya may have delivered a standout performance in the NWA earlier this year, but fans still havent seen itand now it looks like WWE is the reason why.
Back in May, Natalya made her NWA debut during the Crockett Cup, challenging Kenzie Paige for the NWA Womens Championship. While she didnt walk away with the title, the match was praised behind the scenes. But despite being recorded, the footage has never been airedand now Fightful Select is reporting that WWE is to blame.
To make matters even more confusing, fans are now seeing title changes online that happened months agobut only recently got official recognition from NWA. According to Fightful, those title switches actually took place in August, but werent acknowledged by the company until the episodes finally aired nearly three months later.
In the meantime, NWA had those champions continue to defend their belts at independent shows even after they had technically lost themjust to keep spoilers from leaking early.
Natalyas match with Kenzie Paige would have been a big moment for the NWA brand, especially with crossover interest from WWE fans. But now its collecting dustnever broadcast and likely shelved indefinitely.
As the NWA tries to find its footing with delayed title updates and WWE reportedly pulling content, fans are left confused and disappointed. Whether WWE was protecting its own branding or just didnt want its contracted star associated with NWAs ongoing broadcast chaos, its the fans who lose out.
