The November 13th edition of TNA iMPACT saw Frankie Kazarian beat Mike Santana to win the TNA World Title via a roll-up. Following the show, fans expressed their outrage over this decision on social media.
One fan took to Twitter and said Mike Santana should have won the TNA World Championship back in July at Slammiversary. Then, when he finally won it in October at Bound For Glory, he lost it on a random episode with a roll-up. They then asked TNA why they hated Santana.
Another fan pointed out that TNA took a whole month off after the pay-per-view, so Santana didnt even make it through one episode as champion. Then they added that TNA also waited too long to give him the title in the first place.
A different fan took to Twitter and said the booking was terrible. Trick Williams had a longer title reign than Santana, which makes the situation feel almost criminal. They added that its nothing against Frankie Kazarian, but Santana wasnt given any real chance to run as the top champion.
The fan ended by saying they hope this means Santana is heading to NXT. If not, TNA just upset a lot of people.
Another fan said they were shocked by the ending and joked that it felt like Dixie Carter was back in charge, saying, Wow, THATS the ending? Holy s*** is Dixie Carter in charge or something? Wtf??
A different fan and said the person who booked this should be fired. They agreed that Kazarian deserves a title run, but felt Santana should have had a solid reign before losing the championship to him.
Kazarian winning thanks to interference from Lexis King, Charlie Dempsey, Stacks, Brooks Jensen definitely infuriated a ton of fans and its not hard to see why.
Mike Santanas long road to finally winning the TNA World Championship was a major moment for fans, but the sudden end to his reign has obviously led to huge backlash online. Whether this booking choice leads to a bigger storyline or even hints at a possible move to NXT isnt known. For now, fans are letting TNA know exactly how unhappy they are.
