Novak Djokovic failed to clinch another Grand Slam title this year, but he still took away the satisfaction of lifting the trophy in Geneva and Athens. Triumph in Switzerland before Roland Garros allowed him to finally reach 100 titles on the professional tour, while the success in the Greek capital last Saturday was particularly thrilling because the tournament is owned by his family.
The Serbian legend defeated Italian ace Lorenzo Musetti at the end of a titanic battle, in which he showed all his resilience once again. Despite the difficulties and wear and tear of his body, the 38-year-old from Belgrade wants to continue competing at the highest level and will be among the protagonists of the tour next year as well.
Djokovic won his 101st title
The former world number 1 currently occupies third place in the all-time ranking for titles won, behind only his old rival Roger Federer (who stopped at 103 trophies) and American legend Jimmy Connors (who leads this particular ranking with 109 titles). Several analysts and insiders wonder if Nole can aspire to break this record as well, given that he himself has expressed his desire to play professionally until the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

Just because of the big three debate and everything is, for whatever reason people still say Roger, even though the statsbut Novak I think wants to cement himself in that spot."
He also added: So if thats another thing that he can tick off, you know check another box to make him in peoples eyes the best player of all time then I think hes going to do it. I think he cares a lot more about these stats and the history of tennis than he probably mentions.
