Drew McIntyres recent suspension on the November 7th episode of WWE SmackDown may have looked serious on-screen, but it turns out the Scottish Warrior is still very much part of WWEs plans heading into Survivor Series.
According to Ibou of Self Made, McIntyre is being discussed as a possible entrant in the Survivor Series WarGames match. When asked for an update, he confirmed, Yes. Hes been discussed for War Games.
This comes after speculation, with many assuming the suspension angle had something to do with McIntyre taking time off to shoot a movie. Thats not the case his storyline suspension is just that: storyline. Theres no planned absence, and McIntyres return could be sooner than fans expect.
So far, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Jey Uso are confirmed for the babyface side of the WarGames bout, with John Cena reportedly joining the squad as well. As for the heel side, the lineup shaping up includes Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, Brock Lesnar and now, potentially Drew McIntyre rounding out the team.
McIntyres history with WarGames, his feud with Cody Rhodes, and his growing resentment over recent losses make him a prime candidate for a heel spot. His inclusion would bring star power and chaos to the match and might just tip the scales.
