Trick Williams is finally opening up about his unforgettable run-in with The Undertaker during the July 22, 2025, episode of WWE NXTa moment that sent shockwaves through the 713 Music Hall in Houston and the entire wrestling world.
Back in July, Trick Williams was riding high as the reigning TNA World Champion, having just defended his title against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. As he strutted into the second hour of NXT, Williams didnt hold backproclaiming himself the greatest TNA Champion of all time, dismissing TNA fans, and throwing shots at the LFG team for snitching on him to The Undertaker. He even accused Taker of never holding down two bands at the same time and flat-out called the legend soft.
That was enough to trigger The Undertakers iconic gongand out came the American Badass, without the bike, but with plenty of fire. Taker stepped to Trick in front of the Texas crowd and delivered a verbal beatdown that ended with one ominous warning: Youre a little light in the ass to step up to an OG. Trick swung firstbut paid the price with a brutal chokeslam.
Now, months later, Trick Williams has offered his first real thoughts on that moment. In a new interview with Going Ringside, Williams acknowledged the gravity of standing across from the Deadman and admitted he may have let his ego run wild that nightbut he doesnt regret a second of it.
Whether it was a humbling moment or just another step in Tricks meteoric rise, one thing is certainhes not afraid to swing at legends, even if it ends in pain.
