Eddie Kingston is preparing to say goodbye to the independent wrestling scene for good. The former AEW Continental Champion announced that his current run on the indies will be his last, revealing that he plans to step away from independent bookings entirely by November 2026.
In a candid post on Threads, Kingston laid out his plans, stating that hell only be taking select shows moving forward.
Kingston was previously announced for Beyond Wrestlings Novembercanrana event on November 14 in Cranston, Rhode Island, part of whats shaping up to be his farewell indie tour.
The hard-hitting veteran returned to AEW at All Out this past September after being sidelined by injury since May 2024. At one point, Kingston even admitted he considered retirement altogether during his time away from the ring.
Since his return, Kingston has been teaming with HOOK, most recently appearing on the November 5 episode of AEW Dynamite in a losing effort alongside Adam Page against the AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe).
While hell still be active in AEW, this marks the end of a chapter for one of the most respected voices and personalities in indie wrestling. Known for his raw promos, grit, and authenticity, Kingstons departure from the scene will be felt by promotions and fans across the country.
