Griffin, making his 106th appearance, secured his third PGA Tour title and fourth career title after winning the Staal Foundation Open on the PGA Canada Tour in his pro year (2018). In September, he was part of the USA team defeated by Team Europe in the Ryder Cup in Farmingdale. He is the third player to win three this season after Scottie Scheffler, world number one, and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, number two, and he did so by setting a new tournament record, surpassing the previous 261 set by Norway's Viktor Hovland (2021), Russell Henley (2022), and South Africa's Erik van Rooyen (2023). Thanks to the victory, Griffin rose from 12th to ninth in the World Ranking and received a check for $1,080,000 out of a prize pool of $6,000,000.

Francesco Molinari, after a strong start (ninth in the second round), lost ground and finished with a 70 (-2, four birdies, two bogeys). From Thursday 13 November to Sunday 16 November, the Italian will be competing in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda.
