NBA legend Shaquille ONeal was last seen on AEW television a few years ago and made a great impression. Thats why it comes as no surprise that Tony Khan wants to bring him back to AEW.
While speaking to Sportico, Tony Khan was asked which non-wrestler hed like to bring into AEW, and he explained that the best celebrity appearance theyve had so far was Shaquille ONeal.
Khan noted that Shaq is currently 10 in AEW but hasnt appeared since he disappeared into the ambulance after his match in 2021. Khan said he would love to have Shaq return to the ring for another match, calling him one of the biggest stars in basketball history and pointing out that hes still undefeated in AEW.
Shaquille ONeal made his in-ring debut in AEW on the March 3, 2021 episode of Dynamite. He teamed up with Jade Cargill and faced off against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet, which saw the NBA Hall of Famer and his partner win.
Shaquille ONeals time in AEW is still remembered as one of the best celebrity moments in recent wrestling. Now that Tony Khan has said hed like to bring Shaq back, theres real potential for another big match. Whether it happens soon or later, fans will definitely be ready for it.
