It looks like Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize wont be returning to AEW any time soon.

After their now-public dispute over a three-minute match on the November 8 episode of AEW Collision, things appear to have gone south behind the scenes. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW has no plans to book the duo moving forward.

That blunt statement follows days of back-and-forth narratives. Reports initially claimed Newell and Alize walked out of the show after being unhappy with their match time. But during her Twitch stream, Newell denied any disrespect and explained their decision came after a mutual conversation with AEW staff. She said the match went from being of substance to just 3 minutes, and they felt it wouldnt help anyone look good.

Rather than cause a scene, the two respectfully bowed out and offered the spot to someone else.

They were told they were free to leave, and later spotted out getting food and drinks, which sparked online speculation about them walking out.

Newell also slammed the twisted headlines that painted the story as a dramatic walkout, insisting there was no bad blood.

Still, the fallout appears to be real. With AEW reportedly cutting ties for now, fans may not see Newell or Alize back on AEW or ROH programming anytime soon.
