Its been over three years since Tony Khan bought Ring of Honor, and fans are still wondering when the promotion will finally land a real television deal. Despite early promises of big news, nothing major has materializedand according to Dave Meltzer, it all comes down to one thing: money.
Meltzer responded to a fan on X who asked about the ongoing delay. He explained that TV talks have happened, but no offer has matched Khans expectations:
Khan himself previously tried to stir up excitement about ROHs media future during a pre-Full Gear press call, pointing to Chris Jerichos time as ROH World Champion as a major selling point for potential media partners. He claimed that Jerichos involvement was helping drive negotiations forward:
Yet months later, Ring of Honors weekly show is still airing only on HonorClub, with no major streaming or network deal in place.
Three years, serious names, and still no major home. If Khan is holding out for a big payday, its starting to look like he might be waiting a while longer.
