Jack Draper's season ended early due to an injury to his right arm, which had already begun to limit him during the summer. The young British ace who had had a strong first part of 2025 by winning his first Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells during the spring had not been able to play the prestigious tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati, but had recovered in time for the start of the US Open.
After passing the first round in the last Grand Slam of the season, he realized that it was too painful to continue playing with that problem and communicated his choice to return to compete only in 2026. To tell the truth, Jack will be back in action as early as December during the UTS tour stage (the alternative tour conceived by top coach Patrick Mouratoglou) which will take place in London.
Jack feels much better
As numerous experts and insiders have highlighted, Draper made significant improvements between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 approaching the level of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz and entering the Top 5 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career. In addition, he also seemed to have solved the physical issuesthat had tormented him in previous seasons but this stop changed every scenario.

In a long interview with 'The Tennis Podcast' these days, he gave his fans an important update on his current condition: "My arm is getting better and better and I'm looking forward to getting back into action. My year was still positive, I played a lot of matches and I improved on all surfaces."
Jack also added: "One of my main goals was to play well on the red clay, where I had always struggled in the past. I'm happy with the results I got there, but I started to feel pain in my arm after the Mutua Madrid Open. That discomfort intensified in the period between Roland Garros and Wimbledon, which is why I had to consult a specialist. I realized that the best choice to make was to stop and prepare for next season."
