The Dallas Cowboys have acquired three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams in a trade with the New York Jets, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
In exchange, the Jets will receive a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith, a source told ESPN.
Williams was arguably the Jets' best overall player and is still in the prime of his career (turns 28 in December). He was under team control for two more years after signing a four-year, $96 million extension in 2023.
He has 32 tackles, a sack and three forced fumbles this season.
Hours earlier, the Jets traded star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts for 2026 and 2027 first-round selections and receiver AD Mitchell.
