John Cena announced during Saturday Nights Main Event in Salt Lake City that his final WWE match will take place on December 13, 2025, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. His last opponent will be determined through a 16-man tournament beginning November 10 in Boston, featuring wrestlers from multiple brands, including some not under WWE contract.
Cena has recently been working at the WWE Performance Center, helping younger talent as he prepares to close out his career. His announcement marks the start of the countdown to his final match, ending one of the most accomplished runs in wrestling history. This week on RAW, we got that list of names.
They held a drawing this week on RAW, and the names were drawn at random. Adam Pearce announced that the first two matches will see Rusev against Damian Priest next week in the first round. Also, Shinsuke Nakamura will battle Sheamus.
It was revealed that Nick Aldis, WWE SmackDown General Manager, will draw the next two matches for SmackDown on this Fridays show. We will have to see who gets in the tournament from the blue brand.
